How we’re changing the game with water heating
07/06/2023Discover what makes SUPA that little bit different.
Sometimes you just need to take a moment and step back to see a problem, especially in those circumstances where we have seen no radical changes in a product for over 50 years. This is exactly what we did when looking at the rising use of hot tubs.
We can list them as follows:
- The time taken to heat the water
- The need to keep them on constantly so you can use them when you want
- The energy costs to heat them AND keep them heated as it is the latter process that will cost the customer the most money
- The reluctance to change water if needed because of the time and cost to reheat fresh water
It really is like keeping the central heating on day and night, every day, just in case you think you might feel cold sometime later in the week!
It’s easy to see when pointed out, that whilst we all love relaxing in a hot tub, always keeping them on and hot is just so costly and wasteful. Not to mention the amount of CO² being produced. You would be justified in thinking that after such a long time, if there was a good solution to this problem, then it would already have been done. So, it came as a big surprise to us that it already hadn’t been done – until now and the development of SUPA.
When we identified the problem with heating hot tubs, we couldn’t believe that nobody had looked at rapid heating before, to remove the need for a constant ‘on’ requirement if it was to be used at the drop of a hat, and we set about trying to identify how best to solve the problem and find the best partners to work with.
After 18 months of development and testing, we now have a product with a patent applied for that removes the need for an ‘always heating’ situation, allowing hot tubs to be used when the customer wants to, and without having to pre-plan and pay handsomely for the privilege. Now, the customer has full control in their own hands, but with the additional benefit of being able to supply instant hot water for any purpose in the home, garden, business, work, or recreational setting.
We have no doubt that our customers are going to surprise us with how they use their SUPA in the coming months and years and only wish that these innovative uses are shared with others through our social sites so that others can also benefit.
